For out-of-town visitors who want to sample some of San Diego’s finest cultural institutions in one day, or for San Diego residents who wish to visit or re-visit their favorite Balboa Park attractions at a heavily discounted rate, Passport to Balboa Park announces a limited-time offer “Stay for the Day” one-day excursion pass beginning March 1, 2009.
Each visitor purchasing the Stay for the Day pass will have his/her choice of any 4 of the 13 participating museums, for $29:

Day Passes can be purchased at the Balboa Park Visitors Center, at www.balboapark.org, or the MTS Transit Store through May 22, 2009.
Day pass holders will also receive a 10% shopping discount at the Balboa Park Visitors Center gift shop.
The ticket is valid for one day only and in some cases, will not include special exhibitions (examples are the current Da Vinci Experience at the San Diego Air & Space Museum and BodyWorlds opening at the San Diego Natural History Museum on March 5). Individual museum admissions vary, and some museums are closed on Mondays. Detailed information is available at www.balboapark.org.
In addition, Passport to Balboa Park offers two longer-stay options for those having more time to enjoy the Park. The regular Passport ($39) is valid for seven days from the day of purchase, and offers one entrance to each of the 13 museums. The Zoo/Passport Combo ($65) adds a one-day deluxe admission to the San Diego Zoo to the seven-day Passport to Balboa Park.
