Join us as we celebrate the artists of Changing Terrain: Contemporary Artists Interpret Our Landscape. Meet the artists behind this dynamic exhibition, which brings together contemporary voices from Southern California and Baja to explore a region in constant transformation.

Inspired by the 2013 exhibition Nature Improved: San Diego Artists Interpret Our Landscape, presented by the Oceanside Museum of Art and the San Diego History Center, Changing Terrain revisits the evolving field of landscape art more than a decade later. The exhibition features 11 artists who participated in the original presentation alongside invited artists and exceptional works selected through a regional open call, offering fresh perspectives on the landscapes, cultures, and communities that shape our region.

Changing Terrain is on view simultaneously at the San Diego History Center and the Oceanside Museum of Art beginning August 22, 2026, and continuing into early 2027.
