Bonseki is a traditional Japanese art form dating back over a thousand years, in which miniature landscapes are created on a black lacquered tray using white sand, pebbles, and small stones. Inspired by the natural beauty of mountains, rivers, and coastlines, these delicate compositions capture the essence of nature in a breathtaking, small-scale scene. At this workshop, guests will have the wonderful opportunity to craft their very own bonseki tray, arranging sand and stones to bring their personal vision of a serene landscape to life. No experience necessary, just a sense of curiosity and creativity!
