From Oaxaca’s nesting sea turtles to the coastal deserts of Baja California, Guardians of the Wild immerses you in the stories of communities and organizations fighting to protect Mexico’s diverse ecosystems. This stunning documentary highlights the Indigenous women collectives planting mangroves, the heroes stopping coastal development, and the guardians of marine protected areas. 

After the screening, experts from The Nat, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and WILDCOAST will discuss the current state of Mexico’s wild places and the ongoing efforts to protect them.
