The circus is in town at the San Diego Model Railroad Museum! Our Summer Exhibit, Step Right Up: Circus Trains, is full of fascinating and colorful model trains, railroad cars, and animals. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore railroad history through the wonderful world of the circus.

Circus trains are perhaps the most iconic way for circuses to travel around the United States. For more than 140 years, trains were the easiest way to transport the massive animals, heavy equipment, and hundreds of crew and performers needed to perform large circuses.
