    Library Collections Apprentice (Part-Time, Temporary) – 2/8/2023

    The San Diego Natural History Museum seeks a Library Collections Apprentice. The San Diego Natural History Museum science research apprenticeship program provides training and mentoring in curation, imaging, databasing protocols, and collections-based research to members of groups of underrepresented High School seniors and Undergraduate students, to prepare them for continued advancement in biological sciences, which can translate to career pathways in academia and research, as well as biological consulting. The apprentice will work with the Director of the Research Library & Archives on collection development, accessioning, deaccessioning, and large-scale shelf migration. The apprentice may oversee volunteers and may also be asked to perform circulation tasks. The apprentice will also be expected to create a final report or presentation on their work. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and punctual. The position will be responsible for executing technical elements of the event and communicating with clients and the event team.     Lead Ticket Services Representative – Posting Date: 02/08/2023

    The Old Globe Theatre in beautiful Balboa Park seeks an individual who is detail-oriented and experienced in both ticketing and customer service for the position of Lead Ticket Services Representative. The Lead Ticket Services Representative will assist the Director and Associate Director in all tasks of the ticket office including; processing ticket orders, running reports, overseeing special projects, training and mentoring Ticket Representatives, handling customer relations, and other administrative duties. Successful candidates will have strong ticketing experience (Tessitura ticketing system preferred) and excellent customer service including strong organizational and administrative skills with efficient follow-through on projects. Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft Excel preferred. Evening and weekend availability required. Must be able to pass applicable background screening. Bilingual English/Spanish and multilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. As of October 1, 2021, employees must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption applies. Hourly pay range is $19.00-$21.00/hour depending on experience.
