DESCRIPTION:Miles for Migraine will host its 8th annual 2-mile Walk\, 5K Run and Relax San Diego event on Saturday\, November 7th at Balboa Park. This event is a fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness\, Treatment & Research. It’s more than a walk/run – come connect with your local migraine & headache community\, listen to our speakers & visit sponsors in the festival area. \nThe 5K run is professionally timed. The Walk and the Relax events are free\, but donations are encouraged. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal. Dress up in your best purple flair for a chance at a fun prize! \nFunds raised will benefit Miles for Migraine free programs & services as well as UCI Health Headache Center to support local migraine research and fellowship training programs.

DESCRIPTION:The MORE THAN PINK Walk\, Susan G. Komen’s largest fundraising event series\, evolved from the Race for the Cure in 2018. Each year\, we host over 100\,000 participants at our 40+ in-person (and one virtual) walks across the U.S. Since the first Walk in 2018\, our participants have raised more than $60 million dollars and continue to be a part of a community committed to our vision of a world without breast cancer. \nWith inclusive and accessible options for people of all ages and abilities – including breast cancer survivors\, those currently in treatment for breast cancer and people living with metastatic breast cancer – the Walk provides participants the opportunity to come together and connect in meaningful ways. It allows us to focus on sharing our passion\, sharing our stories and connecting with others\, all while fundraising to support life-saving programs and research. \nOur finish line is a world without breast cancer\, and we know the only way we can get there is together.

DESCRIPTION:Support the 100\,000 San Diegans living with dementia by joining the Walk4ALZ on Saturday\, October 17th! This marks our 10th year celebrating this impactful walk. All proceeds benefit Alzheimer’s San Diego and will be used to support people living with dementia\, their caregivers\, and to fund research for a cure.\n \nWalk4ALZ is completely free to register and is a family-friendly and dog-friendly event. The route is 2.75 miles around Balboa Park. Click here to view the route. It is the largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s San Diego\, a local nonprofit organization. It is the only walk where every dollar stays in San Diego County to support people living with dementia and their caregivers.
