    Junior Flight Crew

    Grades: UTK-K
    Description: Soar with us as we look at airplanes, balloons, and rockets and the people who create, fly , and work in aviation. Class has group activities, story time, and centers. (Note children must be potty trained)
    Cost: $140/ week
    June 9-13 8:30 am to 11:00

     

    Astro”tot”s

    Grades: UTK-K
    Description: Discover space from stars, to planets, to the moon and beyond. Class features stories, playtime, and group activities. (Note: children must be potty trained)
    Cost: $140/ week
    June 2-7 8:30 to 11:00 am, June 23-27 8:30-11:00 am

     

    Aviators in Training

    Grades: 1-2
    Description: Pilot into the future as we make planes, discover weather, and use robots to explore all things flight. Class has engineering activities, museum exploration and science experiments.
    Cost: $185/ week

    Astronauts in Training

    Grades: 1-2
    Description: Blast off as we experience all things space: from rocket launches, to spacesuits, to life on the moon. Class is creative imaginative and is focused on the engineering design process along with museum exploration.
    Cost: $185/week
    June 2-6 8:30 am to 12:00 pm; July 21-25 8:30 am to 12:00 pm; July 28 to Aug 1 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

     

    Top Gun

    Grades: 3-5
    Description: Grab your aviators as we pilot into the world of military aviation. Campers will create gliders, use robots to battle, and explore the world of drones. Class is project based learning with lots of aviation exploration.
    Cost: $185/ week
    June 16-20 (No 19) price: $155 1:00 to 4:30 pm; July 28- Aug 1 1:00 to 4:30 pm

     

    Space Frontiers

    Grades: 3-5
    Description: Explore what’s next in space: from lunar communities, to next generation rockets, to robotics in space. Classes have imaginative and creative projects with plenty of time to explore the museum.
    Cost: $185/ week
    June 23-27 1:00-4:30 pm, July 28-Aug 1 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

     

    Spy Academy

    Grades: 5-9
    Description: Are you ready to go undercover on a special op? From coding to camouflage to using technology campers will develop their clandestine skills. Campers will be using engineering techniques and museum exhibits to uncover all things secret.
    Cost: $185/ week
    June 2-6 1:00-4:30 pm; June 16-20 (no 19) 8:30 am to 12:00 pm price $155

     

    Aviation Simulation

    Grades: 6-12
    Description: Earn your call sign as we discover the basics of ground school, practice flying on a simulator and meet real pilots. Class is perfect for those who want to try piloting before a big commitment. The July 21-25 camp will be at Gillespie Field in El Cajon, combine piloting skills with airport tours.
    Cost: $195/ week
    June 9-13 1:00-4:30 pm; July 21-25 1:00-4:30 pm (Gillespie Field Location)

  • Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum

    JFGM invites campers to experience a taste of Japan! Our summer camps provide different activities within Japanese culture, wellness, and sustainability. We have camps available from grades 1st-8th. Capacity is limited, so registration for each grade level is first come first serve. Don’t miss out on an exciting opportunity. Learn more here.

    • Capacity is limited to 20, so registration for each grade level is first come first serve. Completion of payment and the registration form are required to participate.

    • Each Summer camp is five days.

    • JFGM Week 1-3: $240.00 for JFGM Member | $250.00 Non-Member

    • STEAM in NIWA Camps: $260 JFGM Member | $270 Non-Member

    Cancellation Policy

    – Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the start of the camp will receive a refund, minus a 10% cancellation fee per camp.
    – No refunds or credits within 7 days of any program

    Member rates are for Japanese Friendship Garden and Museum Members. Balboa Park and Go City pass holders will pay regular camp prices.

    Cost: $195 per week (all materials included, unless otherwise noted)
    Duration: 5 days for each week
    Time: 9:00 am – Noon
    Ages: Varies depending on type of camp
    Learn From the Pros: A different art project each day, led by experienced professional artists.
    Creative Fun: A week filled with exploration and artistic expression.
    Class Size: Maximum of 15 students per class
