On the first Saturday in April every year in Balboa Park, the House of Scotland and the House of Scotland Pipe Band host House of Scotland Tartan Day! This is a unique event of all things Scottish with traditional food and drink, dance, music, children’s activities, clan booths, live entertainment, and so much more!

Tartan Day festivities occur across North America to celebrate Scottish heritage and the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath that occurred on April 6, 1320. This historic document declared independence for Scotland and is similar to our own United States Declaration of Independence.
