A compassionate and talented photographer, Morrie Camhi was always drawn to the human condition. His photographic projects ranged from Farmworkers, exploring Mexican-American labor activism and undocumented immigrants; The Prison Experience, documenting the prisoners and staff of the California State Prison in Vacaville; to The Jews of Greece. Morrie Camhi: The Jews of Greece exemplifies Camhi’s commitment to connecting with his subjects and creating a visual story with his subjects.

Support for the exhibition Morrie Camhi: The Jews of Greece is provided by the Gardner Bilingual Fund, and the Members of The San Diego Museum of Art. Institutional support for the Museum is provided by the City of San Diego Commission for Arts and Culture.
