Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Día de los Muertos with a festive evening of art, drinks, and local history!

Join the San Diego History Center at Mujeres Brew House, San Diego’s first Latina-owned brewery, for a fun Paint & Sip experience. Enjoy a guided painting session led by local artist Maira Meza (@artehastalamuerte6), sip on your favorite drinks, and learn fascinating bits of local history from SDHC staff along the way.

This month, we’re celebrating Día de los Muertos by painting alebrijes—colorful, creatures rooted in Mexican folk art. As you create your own alebrije, learn about their cultural significance and how they have become associated with Día de los Muertos celebrations.

No painting experience needed! Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a paintbrush for the first time, this evening is all about having fun and getting creative.
