    We will be closed during the day and will be open from 5-9pm. Come see Santa from 5:30-8:30.

  • Comic-Con

    Kick off the holiday season with December Nights at Comic-Con Museum featuring a holiday-themed Paint & Take miniatures activity in the Museum lobby. This painting activity is fun and free! Painting supplies and one miniature figure per person will be provided. Supplies are limited. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. For ages 5+, painting sessions are approximately 15–30 minutes.

    Friday, December 6, from 3 PM to 8 PM, and on Saturday, December 7, from 2 PM to 7 PM.

    *Note. Comic-Con Museum will temporarily close its exhibits on Friday, December 6, 2024, and Saturday, December 7, 2024, for December Nights. Exhibitions will reopen on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

    While our exhibits will be closed during December Nights, our Museum Gift Shop will be open for holiday shopping and more fun holiday-themed surprises.

  • ICA

    Ceramics Sale

    Join us at the City of San Diego’s free holiday festival – December Nights in Balboa Park.

    December 6th and 7th only from 5:00pm – 9:00pm.

    Visit ICA San Diego / Central to celebrate the spirit of the holiday and buy gifts specially made by members of our Ceramics lab.

  • JFGM

    December Nights Is Back!

    The Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum will be opening the upper garden for free from 3:00PM-7:00PM on December 6th and December 7th.

    View the garden’s decorations and participate in fun crafts for the family.

    Beer Garden

    Guests, ages 21 are invited to celebrate the season in the JFGM holiday beer garden. Don’t miss out on the festivities. JFGM staff will be mixing up special drinks and serving spiked hot chocolate and sake. Delicious non-alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase.

  • Mingei

    Celebrate December Nights at Mingei International Museum! Admission to the Exhibitions Level is free from 5pm-9pm.

    While you’re here, be sure to stop by Shop Mingei for holiday gifts and grab a drink at CRAFT CAFÉ.

    In preparation for evening festivities, Mingei will be closed to the public during the day on 12/6 & 12/7. CRAFT CAFÉ will be open from 9am-7pm both days. ARTIFACT at Mingei will be closed.
